Only a couple of years ago the thought of summer used to make me feel sick in the stomach. It seemed like there was never enough time to get “beach ready”. It was me against the clock.
I’d attempt last minute restricting of food groups and portion sizes, as well as making myself do punishing and unenjoyable workouts. I’d nearly be in tears while trying on bikinis, thinking ‘If only I’d eaten perfectly all winter I would look better and be happier and have a better time at the beach and life in general and everything would be ok’.
Yep, my monkey mind was in full swing and the only solution for resolving the stress and panic about summer seemed to be getting the perfect “beach body”. (Psst, it’s not the solution.)
This year is different.
I am so so excited for summer. And not an ounce of me wants to restrict the types of food I’m eating. (Who even am I?!)
I just want to make sure I have the best time ever. Summer should be all about how you feel, not how you look.
